Ben Windle is a Philadelphia-based photographer, offering bird and nature walks, photography classes, and family portraits. His photography cultivates a joyful appreciation of nature and sparks creativity, evoking memories of childhood adventures.
Through his lens, Ben strives to instill in viewers the same sense of awe he experiences firsthand. His work reflects his spirit and passion, inspiring a deep love for nature and the wild spaces it encompasses in others.
Imagine spending quality time with your family while capturing the moment forever with a family photo shoot. In a one-hour photo session you can choose between candid or more posed photos according to your preference. Ben can attend your event or accompany your family on a walk or trip to a local park.
Join us for a guided bird watching walk, an educational journey through the natural habitats of local birds and wildlife. Bring your binoculars or a camera as we explore the park and learn about the diverse wildlife native to the area. This walk is perfect for beginners looking to deepen their appreciation and knowledge of birds and their environments.
Enhance your photography skills with this two part nature photography class. We will start with a comprehensive indoor session covering essential camera settings, techniques for tracking specific animals, animal identification, capturing action shots versus portraits, and photo editing skills. After the instructional segment, we will head outdoors for a guided nature walk where you'll have the opportunity to apply your newly acquired knowledge in the field, capturing stunning wildlife and nature scenes.
Our work has been featured at Whitemarsh Learning Center, I Knead Coffee, and Unique Photo.

Ben Windle has been a lot of things in his lifetime. A native of the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, a former Muay Thai fighter, an EMT with the Philadelphia Fire Department, a photographer, an amateur naturalist (working on his “master naturalist” designation), a lover of nature and wild spaces, and more important than anything else a father, a husband, a son, an uncle, and a brother.
Ben is now also accidentally an artist. Ben first started by filling the time between dropping his daughter off at daycare and picking her up with bird walks. He was not consciously looking for anything besides birds, but unexpectedly found himself healing holes in his heart left by loss with a joyful appreciation of nature and a creative spark he had not felt since childhood.
Through photography Ben wants to elicit the same sense of awe in the viewer that he experienced first hand. His spirit shines through his work and inspires a love of nature and wild spaces in others.
